3 deaths at a the Warrnambool may festival which can be comapred to our national meeting, its the biggest jumps festival in Australia

Because of these deaths they have decided to suspend all jump racing and are talking about a lifetime ban.
now i know any death in racing is sad but to suspend all racing is a bit harsh maybe they should look at other factor which resulted in this. One of the races had 33 fences so why not cut it down to 20 fences for example and make them smaller

Alifetime ban ob jumps would be disastrous and would strengthen these animal rights protesters all over the world.

Wow, that seems a bit drastic! No sport is without its risks.

I read about this a few days ago.
A trainer threatened to shoot his horses if the ban happened.
Heres the story - no idea why I was reading the aussie paper -

They seem to forget 99.99% of accidental/health related horse deaths happen OFF the track!
