After an enforced weekend off (at a wedding in Devon although I did manage to sneak a couple of bets on while I was in the church and they both won :)) it was back in action today.

A winner on the football (time of the first goal to be after 27th minute) wiped out small losses on the backs and lays, in cash terms at least. If you want it in points then I was up around 1.5pts on the backs and down 3pts or so on the lays. Only a 2.78% overlay on the various lay systems today though so that's good.

I also had a couple of sports bets settled recently that have made this a nice few days for me, although Eurovision could have been a little kinder. I was expecting better from Germany. The next significant event for me is the end of the Premiership season, and in particular who finishes in the European spots. I have Aston Villa each way in the markets without the big four. Villa have landed the place bet but it would really help if they got that 5th spot currently occupied by Everton. That means I'm hoping for Fulham to beat Everton and for Villa to beat Newcastle this weekend, else I'm taking a reasonable loss on the market overall as I also had Man City and Portsmouth in the same market (all ante-post bets).

Banging on the races all at once while on hols, even the night racing, and getting some weird prices :ooo ...mind you getting lower prices on the winning lays at the moment so not complaining.

Preakness Stakes was a great race if anyone seen it, watched it in the Stratosphere casino. No idea why the have commentary in those places though as they have them on for every sports event at once :splapme
