"Alas, too late", was the cry. As soon as I had finished typing the warning, I headed off to the moderating queue and sure as eggs is eggs, our 'friend' had tried it on...

...another naughty person submitted to the anti-spam services (yes - there is such a thing and if enough people report the IP address, it is banned from every site!)

Quite a lot of forums out there tolerate spam! Strange way to run forums giving others free Google link points.
