I reduced stakes down to 1.5% on the Mark Johnston bank rather than leaving them at 2.5% as Keith suggested doing for another week or so. The Eastern Aria won at 14/1 (I had 16.5) :splapme

I wouldn't have been comfortable with the stakes at 2.5% though I don't think. Sure, the extra winnings would have been nice but for own peace of mind I think I did the right thing

Weird day, two 14(+)/1 winners but still needed Casino Night in the last to actually make any money! Had two losers on one of my bigger banks in the middle of the day which hurt but overall did ok.

The day started well and went downhill steadily really.

5 from 21 on the backs - including a massive 1/50 winner twice! - and up 7.14pts in no small part thanks to a Mr Johnston again

8 from 32 on the lays, a similar winning strike rate to the backs as it happens, so down 17.92pts there. The last couple of races did for me this evening. They produced winners on the dutching bets but unfortunately I'd also layed those winners (Piccadilly Filly and Impressible (twice)).

I make it 6 from 17 on the flat dutches today, the biggest winner being early on with 0.86xBB. Down 9.01xBB here.

My best friend came back from five months in the Falklands earlier this week.

I have just spent a fantastic day/evening with him and other friends.

Before I left, I had yet another winner on the Mark Johnston system with increased stakes at 16.0. :wiggle:

I also had a decent win on Midday at 4.90.

I have just come back (tired and emotional!) to find that, somehow, I have had one of my worst ever days and I am down three figures. :yikes:

What happened after 3.05?!
