Hmm - methinks a lawyer might be driving a coach and horses through that ruling very very quickly.

If it sticks then they won't have a team by the time they can sign a new player as the current squad are all about 35.

Certainly is - it would be really good news if it happened to Liverpool as it would stop Rafa buying any more really dodgy defenders :)

(waits patiently for Keith to respond)

True, though if you're referring to Glen Johnson he's had a great start to the season, no?

Football is a joke. 139k a week? Like, are you :censored: serious, Earth? :ermmm

One hundred and thirty nine thousand pounds a week.

Ludicrous. Absolutely ludicrous.

I'm out.

Actually, I was referring to the 27 (or whatever it is) Spanish full backs he has bought in the past 5 years. If there is one thing most of us know it is that Spanish players have a better reputation as attacking players. If you want defenders get some Germans (Babel, Ziege - so they have given it a try).

As for Glen Johnson, good luck to the fella, it's not his fault a slightly unhinged foreigner wants to give him that much money (he must have thought it was one of those dodgy Nigerian Princes trying to get his bank details :)). If he's worth that money then Torres must be worth £3m per week.

He has just shown what he is capable of when asked to defend - roasted by the Slovenian winger!
