Could also be described as Ruby Walsh on beaten odds-on favourite shocker.
I think there's a lay system in there somewhere. :)

Well the winning double lays just keep on coming.
The day was about to end as break-even until Resentful Angel obliged at 9.8.
The SP was 3.45. :yikes::yikes::yikes::yikes::yikes:
How on earth did that happen?

It was big gamble 13/2 into 9/4 I think, a few people knew that was going to win alright.

Murdered today, on the horses and the football. The second half of this month has been truly awful for me yet I am somehow going to end the month slightly ahead overall. I think that's a couple of big football bets coming in to just keep my head above the water but not a good month for me at all this one.
Today I got a good price on one of the backs, 7.8 on Restless Harry (7/2 SP) but then layed Resentful Angel at 9.2 (9/4 SP) :splapme
Too many draws and near misses on the football for me today too. Teams I had backed threw away leads to draw and when I went over 2.5 goals the games ended up 2-0.
W2W Systems: 0 from 1, down 1pt
W2W Lays: 0 from 2, down 20pts
Other: 10 from 28, down 58.18pts
This is the second day in a row that I have lost £200+ :(

A bad day again, last 2 days have seen a loss of over 40pts all in and last 6 days have seen -58.50pts wiped off the lays.:omg: Still here are today's figures;
Backs 1/3 -0.31pts
Lays 0/2 -12.80pts

I am seriously thinking of changing my approach with double lays as they have crucified me recently. :(

Just checked my own laying records for multiple (double, treble etc) lays. I found 1609 such cases of which 304 were winners for an SR of 81.10% compared to my overall SR of 85.30% so there could be something in this. These multiple lays show a loss of 399.92pts for a ROI of -5.27% compared to an overall ROI of 0.45% for all lays. Hmmm, that's food for thought.
However, if each individual system is profitable in isolation, why should the qualifiers that overlap and crop up in multiple selections perform worse than those that don't? The only explanation I could think of would be that rules in the affected systems overlap too in which case the system rules should perhaps be revised.
That's just a quick analysis off the top of my head though, I'd need to put a lot more thought into it before acting on anything here.

The day started great but went downhill after that, but I ended the day with enough profit to buy a small box of teabags, not enough for a pint of beer though.
