A fantastic start to the day sees a double lay win in the very first race.

It's all uphill from here. :(

Now AP loses on a 1.63 shot which qualified for five systems. :(

Has anyone had a winning bet today?

I had Quantitativeeasing on two systems, one of which is under a barrier so wasn't hit that hard. The winning lay is just typical though, the CD system is having a real bad spell of late.

I had Quantitativeasing too.

I started it with a £200 bank in November and don't think it has ever been any higher than £224. Same goes for Ladies Lays.

After 972 lays my CD bank is up 20.89pts with my Ladies Lays bank up 32.04pts after 368 lays. That's before today though.

I agree, 3 months is not enough IMO to see if a system is going to work or not, having said that you have to be sensible and use bank barriers etc

My mistake sorry.

I started in November 2008 and not 2009.

The bank is currently around the £150.00 mark.

Oh, ok- thats a different matter then, Its had a fair chance, you have probably done this anyway but I would look at the past and see if this kind of deviation is normal(ish) and set a barrier accordingly

I picked a good time to increase stakes on the NHPM lays didn't I?

I had a little flurry of winners with Prince of Pirates, Sir Bere and Monte Major but the damage has been done for the day already.

2 winners in a row at 7.4 on NHPM has done me for the day. Sir Bere winning gets a bit back though with 2 lays to go.

Bit of a result in the 7.45 there with Dhhamaan getting home ahead of the two Lay'em selections, especially as I had money on the winner. Won me around £55 rather than costing me that had Imperial Skylight won.

Not a great day really but never can be when 2 decent priced lays win eh.

Backs 1/4 +0.71pts
Lays 4/6 -9.0pts

what started off mediocre went downhill quickly to leave me a good chunk down for the day.

The Double Top (NH List 1) system being under a bank barrier effectively cost me a winner today but it saved me from a few losers before today so it's swings and roundabout really. It's back out from behind that barrier now too. My new stakes on the NHPM set me back a bit but I know it was the right move. Laying to a 5% liability is too small when I am trying to grow banks so increasing that was the right move; I'm happy with that. It's about the long-term but this game does like to remind you who is in charge from time to time.

W2W Systems: 4 from 8, up 3.82pts
W2W Lays: 7 from 10, down 21.11pts
Other: 13 from 28, up 17.03pts

I lost a little less today than I made yesterday so I can't complain that much really.

I lost a little less today than I made yesterday so I can't complain that much really.Cancel that. I was all over Burton to beat Crewe this evening, much as Burton seem to have been all over Crewe based on the stats. But they lost, as did I. That puts me down more today than I won yesterday. But the day could still have been much worse than it turned out to have been in the end.
