A proper rollercoaster of a day for me but unfortunately with more downs than ups. The backs were poor, the lays poor also. I won pretty big on some races and lost bigger on others. There was little in between really. Overall I lost a bit more today than I won yesterday but not too much more, which isn't too bad considering that on one race I lost over twice my final loss on the day.

W2W Systems: 1 from 4, up 2.72pts
W2W Lays: 14 from 14, up 14.80pts
Other: 16 from 41, down 36.19pts

A pretty decent day for me with a clean sweep on the lays and a winner at 10/1 (betfair price). The W2W backs were a little unlucky though with a couple of 2nd places at biggish prices.

W2W backs, 1/7, -4.14pts
W2W lays, 8/8, +7.65pts
Others, 1/2, +8.62pts

Sunday I made a profit, yesterday I lost more than I won on Sunday. And in one race yesterday I lost a lot but at the end of the day my total loss was only half the amount I lost in that race.

Yesterday was one of the proudest days of my life.

I was sitting in the Upper Bullens Road stand at Goodison Park watching my ten-year old son realise my own biggest dream. He won his final 1-0 and his team subsequently became the winners of the inaugural Everton Academy Schools competition and, with it, can call themselves the best set of ten-year old's in Liverpool, Wirral, St. Helens, Southport, Warrington and Chester. :wiggle:

As I was watching the Year 4 final before the presentation ceremony, I was also busy going through Auto-Sys for the daily qualifiers. The 4.50pm at Newton Abbot produced two selections for the First Timer system. When I went to the market, I expected these two horses to be the market leaders, however, Mr. Hudson was 18.5. I will be honest and say that I thought to myself that this would be a wasted stake on my biggest bank but also thought how nice it would be to check my P&L later on that evening to see it had won.

I think you can guess the rest. :)

I've just noticed that Mr. Hudson's SP was 9/2. :yikes::yikes::yikes::yikes::yikes::laugh It was dropping like a stone and I was forced to chase it down quite a lot when I was trying to get matched. I did get on at 7.0 though so I beat SP but not by as much as I could by any means

It wasn't all sweetness and light as I layed 0-0 in extra-time in the Charlton v Swindon game, layed under 1.5 goals in extra-time and layed Swindon when it went to pens. All three were heavy losers!

It will take a lot more than that to wipe the smile off my face though. :)
