What a waste of money :doh1: :ermmm

Surely it is common sense to decide whether to pray or not? If you don't want to pray then you don't... simple :headbange

I'm so glad I don't know the man who brought this case, Clive Bone, as he sounds a very mean-spirited individual. What harm did it actually do him or anyone else if prayers were said?

None whatsoever, and although Bone and the National Secular Society (by the way, you'll never ever find any religious type who's more smug and self-satfisied than an atheist) say this is not about religious intolerance, that's what it amounts to.

I'm not particularly religious, however I'm sick and tired of seeing Christians - the vast majority of whom are decent human beings who want to help others - having their rights and opinions trashed by the courts and would-be smart @rse comedians.

The latter especially are the worst kind of cowardly hypocrites, as they willingly stick the boot into Christianity but would never dare criticise or make fun of other religions. Either because it would make them look prejudiced (and doing the same to Christianity doesn't?) or they fear the conequences. After all, you don't hear of many Christians issuing threats and following them up with bombs and bullets.

You'd expect a silly, stroppy 20-year-old to bring a case like this as it's the kind of daft thing young people do, but not someone of Clive Bone's age. Bone is more than old enough to know better and he'd do well in national politics, as the Commons is full of MPs who still think the same way they did when they were 19-year-old undergraduates.

Holding the same opinions you had 20 or 30 years ago doesn't suggest to me that your principles have held firm, but more a case of what psychologists call arrested development, i.e., maturity and personal growth have stalled and you're trapped in a time warp of your own making. Doesn't sound healthy to me.

All in all, a bad day for freedom of expression in this country.

I'm an atheist :Helooo .... and I take the mick out of all religions... humans .... in fact, everything

I'm against prayers in schools, as that's brainwashing innocent minds to be part of one religion, and baptism and circumsion on babies :yikes: ...don't get me started, that's child abuse to me :ooo
