As usual those that kill get to walk the streets :doh1: ... our wonderful justice system. No one gets over 20 years, and they only do half of that.

Automatic early release should be abolished, simple as. If you get 20 years, you serve 20 years, with no time off for 'good behaviour'. Taking a life shouldn't see you out on the streets after a few years, as all that does is insult the dead person's memory and rub the noses of the victim's family in the dirt. And give other thugs the idea that it's worth taking a chance by stabbing or brutally assaulting someone as you'll only get a few years in jail. Why do we insist on treating the offender as the victim in this country?

Why the ::swear do we have 'good behaviour' :doh ... you're in prison, you are supposed to be good :doh1: ... if not then your sentence extends until you are :crazy:
