Cheltenham Festival officials are set to review the incidents in which three racehorses died on the opening day.

They moved the fences after the last review, and to me they've ruined the track by shifting the jumps before the final bend :ermmm ...... the reason for the deaths is usually speed in these races, especially the smaller fences/hurdles, but the 2 cross country deaths happened to the horses while on the flat, and the poor horse that shattered it's leg after falling is, I'm sorry to say, one of the things we have to accept as part of the sport we love.

What I always think when a horse dies is that it is someones pet, the owner, the trainer, and more importanly, the stable hand who with NH horses has probably dealt with the horse every day for years.
