'Unwelcome' rise in energy prices

Does anyone actually remember energy prices going down? :doh

I installed one of those energy monitors last month to try and cut down the bill as £200 a month for electric (that's all I have) is high, but after running the energy meter the only real savings I can make are around 5% which have just vanished with this recent rise :doh1:
