I've seen a number of posts on the forum that mention dutching. What's this then?

Dutching is backing more than one horse in a race to win the same profit.
For example - you think that 4 horses in a handicap could win and the odds are 5/1, 8/1, 16/1 and 20/1. Obviously the 5/1 shot has a statistically better chance of winning than the 20/1 shot and it would be reasonable to use a bigger stake.
In the example above, to make a profit of £200 if ANY of the 4 horses wins you would have:
£52.14 @ 5/1
£36.08 @ 8/1
£19.10 @ 16/1
£15.47 @ 20/1

I think the dutching calculator must have disappeared in to the mists of time... if Oldham sees this he might find time to send you a copy of the excellent one he uses - it'll let you dutch up to 10 selections at a time - I used to have it till my hard drive crashed otherwise I'd have sent you a copy...

If anyone wants the dutching calculator e-mail me and I'll send it to you. It should be the one Oldham uses because I sent it to him ages back. Very good tool. (That's the software, not Oldham :laugh )

Yep - that's the one - I knew someone had sent it to me, just could never remember who did :(
But the software is still the best I have tried and I use it on a regular basis - especially on the exchanges where it can turn a potentially losing dutch into a winning one.
I'm pretty sure I said Thanks, but I'd just like to say Thanks again to Bulldog - made my life a lot easier(and more profitable!) :)

Hey Oldham, you said thanks first time. Glad you still use it. Makes life easier doesn't it? :D
Hi,
Is the dutching calulator still available and free? If so could someone please point me in the direction of where I can download it from?
Many thanks.

Baz
