The Lotto isn't gambling , it's a lottery
It is far easier picking the first 6 home in the Grand National than winning the lottery, as horses have form to follow, numbers do not despite what other idiots may say.... Lottery systems for sale.... and muppets buy them :doh1:
Backing to WIN only on horses is what the bookmakers hate, as they make the least amount of profit from it, which tells you it is the easiest way to profit as long as you move the bookies 1-2% edge into your favour. This can be targetted simply by using non-handicap races, favourites only and being selective, as well as betting only on Betfair. :thumbs

The Jackpot is at the main meeting each day (well mostly  unless the powers that be think otherwise) .... how much depends on what day of the week it is, with Saturdays usually having a lot more money in the pot. If it isn't won it is carried over to the next day so a few days in a row with no one winning can see a big pool grow.
You can do the Jackpot these days with any bookmaker, online or High Street. If you want less risk, but less prize money, the Placepot means you only have to pick a placed horse in 6 races rather than 6 winners. Although that is still much easier than the lottery

Hi - nice to see new people in the forum. Not sure why you say "gambling is bad for you". Gambling is a natural part of life. We trust the people who make cars to not make them with dangerous flaws but flaws do happen. We gamble that other car drivers will act with some sanity on the road because so many lives are at stake. Sports gambling by comparason is less bad for you than going for a drive!
Learing something new keeps the brain young.

I never trust another driver to do the right thing, I'd rather bathe in a bucket of horse poo before I done that :yikes:
