I got a bit of an issue with this & other long-term trends - just look at the changes concerning handicaps at Newcastle over the jumps these last couple of years:

Well of course you can dig much deeper and review each individual track, trainer, jockey, going, etc, but that wasn't the point of the article, which was to pinpoint particular areas to research in. Just looking at the last tables you can see that looking for a win system using Mares at -11% ROI is a waste of time, unless you are going to go really indepth. Whereas researching further Selling races at 5.2% ROI is well worth looking at.

But, if you run all those at +1% ROI together, it shows long term profits. Yes you can then add extra filters to improve profits, but the article would have gone on a lot longer :smile:

Yeh, I have to admit it was a bit of a coincidence with timing as while this last month I have been updating my files I had just made a note of Newcastle & then saw your post. Newcastle is bar far the most extreme example of all the meets from the last month or so, most courses nothing so drastic to report:smile:
