bios problem

acer desktop aspire T180-OA7Z virus wiped mbr, used a caddy to veiw hd with my laptop it wiped my mbr using hirem disk managed to recover my laptop then did the same to the acer hd but acer would still not boot or let me get at any settings so removed battery for about 5mins then rebooted now all I get is 1 long and two short beeps which according to pc spec means no video. screen displayed before battery removal. Any ideas folks???:rolleyes:

no screen just beeps

replaced battery (low voltage reading) cured beeps.get screen sying press del for set up press f12 for boot menu. no key presses work;fire

formatted and partitioned hd put back still wont boot. Tried removal bios battery, shorting out batt terminals left batt out over night still no joy tried using shorting link between pins 1 &2 then 2 & 3 on pins next to bios chip no change just comes up with acer set up screen. Suspect bios corrupt so is there a way to uncorrupt any help appreciated:rolleyes:

now resolved new bios chip from biosflash.com in germany cost £17 inc postage.:biggrin:
