The whole reason he is going is because he knows Ed is going to win in 2015 and there would be no way back for him. Its a real shame but probably inevitable.

So David "KNOWS" that Ed is going to win the next election? Surely two idiots in one family is a bit unfair.
Last week's political highlight for me was watching Milliband telling George Osborne what he should be doing to get this country back on its feet after the thirteen year socialist debacle. (nearly P****d mah breeks)
Actually, if the truth be known, running the country is quite easy, all you have to do is Borrow and Borrow and Borrow again. Having lots of money to spend makes you popular withn the hoi polloi and you don't have to pay it back, just leave it to the next government and, as we are now finding out it makes it harder for the present Prime Minister to do what he would like to do (allowing for the coalition millstone round his neck) because he doesnt have the money to do it, he is too busy trying to find the money to pay back Labour's debts. Well our debts, actually, since we are all in this together!

How did the country ever progress when it was only 5% total tax? It obviously did as we are still here now, but the total tax we pay now by the time you include VAT, duty, NI, etc, must be at least 50%
