I won't say what my wife called this woman the other day :laugh .... but people who think they can do such pathetic things in writing on the internet as :ass2'oles. It took ages to get the 'report' button on FB, so I can't see Twitter rushing to implement it.

I saw the woman who was threatened being interviewed the other evening and I found her pompous and charmless, however the way to challenge that kind of person - male or female - is to take the mickey a bit rather than wish them physical harm.
If you resort to the latter then you've already lost the argument. Some commerical organisations seem to give in these days after a very short time when a 'campaign' is launched by a group of excitable folks with a chip on their shoulder and it'll be interesting to see of Twitter does likewise.
Those who are behind efforts to force companies to change their policies aren't shy of using bully boy tactics it should be noted. No company wants or needs bad publicity, therefore it's a case of give in now or we'll keep rubbishing you in the media on the part of these activists, and sadly too many TV news editors and newspapers are prepared to give these tiresome twerps airtime and column inches.
To help turn the screw on an organisation, there will always be a few deadbeat MPs who'll rally to the cause as well. In these situations, a company should just tell their PR outfit to issue a statement saying they're not prepared to be harassed into changing their policies to appease the angry mob, albeit that this mob comprise a tiny minority of the population.

I still can't understand how they decided to replace Winston Churchill, who helped win a WWII, with a woman who writes books. If they wanted a woman, they should have used Maggie Thatcher, she won the Falklands war for us, and it would have been fun watching the miners burn the notes :laugh

Never mind some boring old (overrated) writer's boat race on banknotes, wot about Jordan or Kelly Brook? Just think of the number of men of all ages they've inspired....to appreciate a Sherman tank.
Yep, an opportunity was lost there - slipped through their fingers and no mistake. Still, no use crying over spilt milk.

How about women in bikinis on the banknotes? Would have to keep the money covered up? :laugh
