In today's Joint Effort Competition race (The Grand National) you can stake between a MINIMUM of 1pt and a MAXIMUM of 4pts in whatever combination you choose, bearing in mind the available bets and stakes are:

Win Only: stake = 1pt, 2pts, 3pts, 4pts
1pt Each Way: stake = 2pts
2pts Each Way: stake = 4pts
Place Only: stake = 1pt, 2pts, 3pts, 4pts

So for example you could post...
1 bet @ 2pts EW on 1 selection (4pts total stake) Post bet as: HORSEA (2EW)
2 bets @ 1pt EW on 2 selections (4pts total stake) HORSEA (EW); HORSEB (EW)
