Lochsong was in my joint 1st place of all time favourite sprinters, along with Arazi and Dajur.

What a fantastic girl she was, cleaning up all of the major sprints in the early nineties.

I'm not sure what happened, as a photo of her up ad about this morning was posted on FB earlier today. She must have just collapsed. I suppose she would be about 25.

I will never forget the way that she stormed up the Knavesmire at York in the 1993 Nunthorpe. :thumbs

Found a bit more info, she was 26, and had a sudden bout of colic this morning. :mad:

Colic is the biggest killer of horses. :ermmm

She was some sprinter wasn't she, can't believe it was 20 years ago tbh!

I suppose being a filly is what made her more memorable. She put the boys in place in no uncertain terms.
