I seen my rheumatology specialist yesterday, and pointed out that my right finger next to my thumb had come down with the diseases since I was last with her. She took one look and said it's best to try a steroid injection. I've had one in my right thumb in the past, and that didn't really hurt, forgetting that the joint is about twice the size of the finger joint.
Having the needle inserted between the joint wasn't a problem, but squeezing 10ml of steroids into a small area caused some pain. That was fine though, as I have a high pain tolerance. It was only a few hours later that I was starting to think that cutting my finger of was fast becoming an option due to the pain. It was like the time I had a toenail removed. :yikes:
So I'm struggling to type today. Hopefully it should be a super human finger by tomorrow.
