This type of race generally goes to one of the more fancied runners, so it pays to concentrate only on the front of the market. Mukmal is likely to go off in front, and if he does, you can pinch a few ticks profit in-running. The main horse though is O'Brien's THE GREAT WAR. An easy winner last time out, and clear top rated.

3:05 Tercentenary Stakes
Groups 3's are generally races that contain horses stepping up in class, and those that have struggled in the higher class races stepping down. So they can prove more difficult to solve than Group 1 & 2's. A number of these have muddled form, having ran against each other on previous occasions. Cloudscape has struggled to win lately, and any price 10.0 or less means that I will be laying him.

3:45 Ribblesdale Stakes
Fillies races at this level can be a bit of a muddle, and it is usually worth just laying the Fav.

4:25 Gold Cup
Yet another great Gold Cup field. The Queen won it last year with Estimate, and he has been trained just for this race. Brown Panther has been winning over various distances, and in different countries, and is likely to go well here. Leading Light will likely be a strong Favourite, and clear top rated in many lists. Although the odds will not be great, I will be dutching the 3 mentioned above.

5:00 Britannia Stakes
The usual nightmare handicap you get at these meetings. No bets.

5:35 King George V Stakes
A small handicap with only 18 runners! This is probably a bookie benefit race, the same as the previous one. Fire Fighting will most likely make the running, and his price will drop in-running. So make sure he gets away and takes the lead, then back him. Exit the bet with 3f-4f to go, and green up.
