Phil Ivey, the famous US pro poker player, lost his high court bid to get a London casino to pay him the £7.7 million he won. As he admitted he used an edging method to memorise the cards, the court decided that it was cheating, and ordered that the casino only refunds his £1 stake.
My opinion is that it is no different from card counting in Blackjack, and the casino's class that as cheating.
