New racecourse starts Thursday :thumbs

No bets for it though as I want to see what the times are, and how form works out at the first meeting. Very exciting though.

I suppose Liverpool must have been playing last Sunday then? :doh1:

It's just Great Leighs revamped the track remains the same -

the Racing Post have still got GL's standard times & Dave Edwards has credited 11th Jan meeting fast time of Zac Brown with new track record:

That's where I did 20/1 Invigilator on the Joint Effort race - that was a good quality meet, today's is poor:mad:

I know its Great Leighs, but it will take a while for the track to settle back in. It's probably loaded with pigeon poo

Three of the seven races yesterday broke standard so it's riding faster than any other AW track at present.

I know what you're saying though - it has taken Wolverhampton a couple of months to settle down.

As far as I am aware, the 'dirt' at Chelmsford was completely removed. Not sure if it was replaced or just sitting around though. It was riding well 3-4 years ago, and I believe a few trainers will be using it for training which should help it bed in.

I'd never visit the track though, grandstand in the middle!
