View Full Version : Calculating Placepot winning lines

Hope someone can help here - I'm working (paper trading only for now) on a placepot system, but need to be able to work out the number of winning lines from the results I have. It involves 2 horses per race (64 lines) and the numbers of placed horses per race in this example are

1,2,2,2,1,1

I'm looking for a simple way of calculating this out and any other combinations so any help would be much appreciated

Thanks!

just multiply your line of numbers together: i.e. 1x2x2x2x1x1=8 winning lines.

Cheers Piggy - I'm supposed to be good at arithmetic but this had me stumped! Must be the heat!
